International medics settling in to Southern Trust

New international medics are settling in to life and work in the Southern Trust.

Following a recruitment trip to Mumbai last September, 56 new doctors have arrived to work in Daisy Hill and Craigavon Area hospitals.

The new recruits have been completing corporate familiarisation and training with their specialty areas over the past number of months and getting acquainted with their new community.

The Trust has expressed huge thanks to Dr Charles O’Brien, retired Trust Consultant and Clinical Director, who gave up his time to guide them on a hike up the Mourne Mountains to explore our beautiful local scenery.

A Southern Trust spokesperson said: “We look forward to welcoming more new international colleagues in the coming weeks!”
