A Newry resident has hit out after a lorry spread dirt over a number of cars in Kilmorey Street.

The incident took place on Monday afternoon and left a number of vehicles in need of a clean, as well as the road.

One concerned local who supplied the Reporter with pictures, but who did not wish to be named, said the incident showed "a blatant disregard for residents".

He added: "I saw it happen and I couldn't believe my eyes. The driver of the lorry just headed on, leaving the cars parked at the side of the road in an awful state.

"It's left those motorists out of pocket with the cost of having to clean their vehicle.

"The lorry was coming from the direction of the Greenbank estate. Drivers should really take more care when driving through residential areas."
