Police investigate sexual assault on train near Newry

Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault which took place on a train last week.

The incident occurred on the northbound train from Dublin on Thursday, May 2 at approximately 3pm.

It is believed that the incident happened “around the Newry area of the journey”, a PSNI spokesperson said.

“If you witnessed the incident or have any information which could assist Police please phone 101 and quote reference number 1315-02/05/24,” they added.
