Three men injured during ‘serious altercation’ in Warrenpoint

Detectives are appealing for information following the report of a serious altercation in the Rath Cuain area of Warrenpoint, on Friday, February 23.

Police received a report of a disturbance at a flat in the area at around 1pm on Friday afternoon and upon arrival at the scene found three males with a number of injuries.

Three men aged 24, 30 and 40 were subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

The 40 year old has since been released on bail pending further police enquiries while the other two men remain in custody at this time.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “An investigation is underway into the circumstances of the incident and detectives would ask anyone with information including dash-cam, mobile or CCTV footage of the area, or who may have witnessed the incident, to contact them at Ardmore on 101, quoting reference number 858/02/24.
