The process to find a new director was sparked by the departure of the previous holder of the role, Michael Lipsett. It is understood that he took early retirement. In April it was reported through the Taxpayers Alliance that Mr Lipsett earned £110,638 in 2021/22.

Applications for the role close on Monday, 6 November 2023 at 12noon.
