Football legend Pat Jennings is reported to be home from hospital and feeling well after collapsing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 78-year-old former Spurs and Arsenal goalkeeper was taken to a north London hospital for some precautionary tests but was given the all clear and discharged after midnight, the Daily Mail reported.

It is understood that Jennings – who is due in Newry on Wednesday to unveil a statue of himself – became ill as he prepared to watch Spurs’ Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Shortly before 11am on Tuesday, the Tottenham Hotspur correspondent for the football.london website, Alasdair Gold, posted an update on social media.

Mr Gold said: “Good news on Pat Jennings following his collapse last night at the stadium. The Spurs legend was taken to hospital for some precautionary tests, all of which came back clear and he was discharged just after midnight.”
