It was all to raise money for Staff Nurse, Judith Barber’s fundraising trek to Camino de Santiago.

Judith is travelling to Sarria, along with other Hospice supporters, to take part in a group trek across the famous Camino trail.

The trek departs on May 1, 2024 and is an annual fundraiser for SAH. This year the Hospice is running the Camino de Santiago trek in September as well as May.

When asked why they decided to wear wedding dresses Judith said: “Some of our patients never get to have their dream wedding, some don’t get to have those special anniversaries, and some have their hearts broken from losing their soulmate. We walked this for you all.”

Emma McGivern, Fundraising Officer at SAH said: “We are so thankful to have such amazing supporters and staff undertaking this incredible challenge to raise money for our Hospice.

"On behalf of everyone here at the Hospice we thank them sincerely and wish Judith and the group safe and happy travels.”
