Southern Area Hospice launches its ‘Big Bucket Collection 2024’ to raise £40,000

​Southern Area Hospice is calling on the local community to get behind its ‘Big Bucket Collection’.

​Taking place in towns and villages throughout the Southern Trust area on Friday, March 22 2024, the aim is to raise £40,000.

Collections will take place in locations including Newry, Warrenpoint, Camlough, Kilkeel, Rostrevor and Crossmaglen, as well as various stores across the Southern Trust area.

The Hospice is seeking volunteers to make the collection a ‘big’ success. Funds raised will enable the Hospice to continue providing specialist palliative care and support to people living in the Southern Trust area. £40,000 could fund two weeks of 24-hour inpatient nursing care for up to 14 patients.
