Woman contacts Reporter to try and track long lost friend

A woman has reached out to the Newry Reporter, in the hope of making contact with an old friend.

Christine Goodwin says the story goes all the way back to the 1960s.

She added: "My friend's name is Frank McKevitt, known as Dave McKevitt.

"He lived years ago in William Street, Newry, but I met him in London, where I lived.

"At that time, he was living in North London."

"He would now be in his 70s."

Christine continued: "My interest is simply to know if he is well and how he has fared in the intervening years - not in any way to be intrusive in his present life...I realise, of course, that there could possibly be bad news and am prepared for such an eventuality.

"Any help would be much appreciated."
