Council Chair urges everyone to look out for each other as yellow weather warning issued for snow
Newry City Councillor and Chairperson of Newry Mourne & Down District Council, Cllr Valerie Harte, has urged all residents to be aware of the yellow weather warning for snow and ice in the coming days.
Urging everyone to take care, Cllr Harte said, “A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued for this weekend and into next week, particularly Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (January 14-16).
"I would urge all residents to take care of put and about and be aware of the conditions.

Hide Ad"Roads Services and all related agencies are prepared for the anticipated snow and ice but people are asked not to undertake any journeys unless essential,
"Finally I would ask communities to look out for each other. In particular to keep an eye on the elderly, less mobile and vulnerable people.”
