US business delegation welcomed during Newry visit
Led by US Special Envoy Joe Kennedy III, the delegation visited First Derivative.
Newry Chamber said that they were delighted that the delegation visited the Marcus Square-based firm which "has been representing our city with the highest distinction on the global stage since it was founded by the late great, Brian Conlon".

Hide AdThey added: "From humble beginnings and that famous £5,000 loan from Newry Credit Union that Brian used to help set up the firm in his mother's spare bedroom in 1996, today FD is a true technology powerhouse, employing over 3,000 people across the globe.
"Chamber President, Julie Gibbons took the chance to showcase the Greater Newry Area as a prime location for investment with its central and pivotal position in Dublin-Belfast Economic corridor.
"As one of the fastest growing regions in NI, Julie also highlighted the multiple industrial, services and tech sectors already established in Newry and along the Dublin-Belfast Economic corridor.
"We would like to thank Senator Kennedy for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit Newry City."

Hide AdAmongst the members of the delegation are Thomas P DiNapoli, New York state comptroller who announced that the New York State pension fund is to invest up to $50m in Northern Ireland businesses; Mark Hartney of Breakthrough Energy Ventures and John Murphy, president and chief financial officer at The Coca-Cola Company.
