Crossmaglen Rangers secured a seven-point victory over Killeavy at the Athletic Grounds on Sunday and are on track to regain the championship title should things continue to go their way.
Killeavy battled hard with just 13 men in the end but it was too much to ask against the club who have 45 titles under their belt and will now face parish rivals Silverbridge in the semi-final.
Stephen Kernan’s men had purple patches in the first and last quarters but in between, Killeavy couldn’t contain their opponents.
Jamie Cosgrove’s sending off hurt Killeavy at the worst time and you can’t give a team like Cross the opportunity to punish.
Killeavy certainly kept in touch in the first half, with only two points between the sides at the interval.
With memories of last year’s defeat in the final to Maghery, spurring them on, Crossmaglen looked like the team of old with their slick passing and stunning scores as they marched into a 0-6 to 0-1 lead.
