The draw for the Ulster Senior Football Championship 2024 was made on Saturday afternoon, with Down and Armagh amongst the nine teams learning of their fates.

Down will have home advantage in their quarter-final clash, as they take on Antrim, whilst Armagh will travel to Fermanagh in the last eight.

Both Down and Antrim are in Division Three of the Allianz Football League next season, whilst both Armagh and Fermanagh are in Division Two - so the sides will get the chance to get to know each other before they square off in next spring's provincial championships.

Last season, Down stunned Division One side Donegal in the last eight of the Ulster Championship 2-13 to 1-11, with Liam Kerr and Pat Havern hitting the net.

However, their campaign came to an end in the pouring rain in Clones, as they lost 4-10 to 0-12 against Armagh.

For the Orchard County, they had comfortable wins over Antrim and Cavan under their belt before they overcame the Mourne men in the last four. However, they endured heartbreak at the hands of Derry in the final, losing out on penalties.

The most intriguing tie of the draw for the 2024 competition sees the new managers square off as Mickey Harte's Derry begin their search for a third straight Anglo Celt Cup against Jim McGuinness' Donegal.

Elsewhere, Cavan meet Monaghan in the Preliminary Round, with the winner of that tie progressing through to meet Tyrone.
