Ending on a high on its third day with treats for all involved, this soccer camp delivered positive results due to the commitment from ALL the truly amazing young people who took part.

Its success was also credit to Arbour and Radius Housing who worked in collaboration with well-placed local organisations such as Altnaveigh House Trust, Damolly FC, The Respect Project, Ashgrove Rovers, Midway and Camlough Rovers.

Three developments in the Newry area have been supported by the Department for Communities and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive’s ‘Housing for All’ Shared Housing Programme.

The programme has its origins in the NI Executive Together: Building a United Community Strategy which reflects the Executive’s commitment to improving community relations and continuing the journey towards a more united and shared society.

Together an estimated £5.4M will be invested in the Newry Area to deliver these homes and will contribute to the development of a five-year good relations plan. In addition, this programme of events was also supported by the Executive Office’s Central Good Relations Fund.

Arbour and Radius Housing will continue to work in partnership with local advisory group stakeholders and residents to develop and deliver the five-year good relations plan for the area. This plan will include ‘bridging’ events which are delivered to the wider community to encourage a range of good relations outcomes which include health and wellbeing, education and training and celebration of diversity in arts and culture.
