It’s tight at the bottom of the Carnbane League’s Premier Division following last weekend’s results.

Rossowen look to be as good as safe following their win, which sees them sit on 21 points from 18 games.

Meanwhile, Archview United, Millburn United and Greenfield Park have all played 19 games. Archview sit with 18 points, Millburn have 15 and Greenfield are in the most trouble, as they have 14 points.

Greenfield Park 1 Rossowen 3

Rossowen look to be as good as safe from relegation following an important 3-1 win over Greenfield Park.

They were off to a dream start, with a Michael Ireland goal and an own goal inside the first 12 minutes having them 2-0 up.

Greenfield answered back before the break through Joshua McKeown, but Rossowen wrapped up the win through a late Richie Reynolds penalty.

Millburn United 1 Camlough Rovers 1

Millburn picked up what could prove to be a valuable point at home to Camlough Rovers on Saturday.

The visitors led following Adrian Mee’s goal on 25 minutes, but Millburn took a share of the spoils after Jason Kelly’s equaliser 10 minutes from the end of time.

Archview United 0 Newry Celtic 7

Carnbane League Premier Division title chasers Newry Celtic had a wobble last Tuesday night, as they lost 3-1 away to Camlough Rovers, but they responded in style on Saturday, trouncing Archview United 7-0.

Newry Rovers 1 Cartwheel United 7

Cartwheel blitzed their way past Newry Rovers in style in the Sean Havern Memorial Cup.

They went 3-0 up and although Newry Rovers pulled one back, Cartwheel continued to push and added four more goals.

Orchard United 2 Mayobridge 3

Mayobridge claimed top spot in Section A with a 3-2 win over Orchard United.

Jamie McKay put them ahead, before Ruairi Murdock equalised for Orchard. United then went ahead via a goal from Shane McAteer early in second half, but Mayobridge fought back from behind with two goals from Keelan McEvoy – with the winner coming on 83 minutes.

Section B

Ballybot United 3 Church Street 2

Division 1 title winners Ballybot are continuing their push for a double, and they impressed in a 3-2 win over fellow contenders Church Street.

Both sides scored inside the opening 10 minutes, with a Sean Bailey penalty cancelling out Barry Garvey’s opener. Church Street then took a 2-1 lead in at half-time after Bailey netted his second.

But the second period belonged to Ballybot, who equalised via Liam Pentony midway through the half, before Jamie Gaskin won it with a goal in the last minute.

Lisdrum 0 Ballyholland 2

Goals from Mark Finnegan and Jonah Osborne saw Ballyholland defeat Lisdrum 2-0.

Ballyholland now sit second in the Section B table, with seven points taken from three games.
