Legendary goalkeeper Pat Jennings performed the official unveiling of his statue in Kildare Street, Newry on Wednesday morning.  

The legendary Northern Ireland goalkeeper was capped 119 times for Northern Ireland and played in two World Cups.

His club career included winning five trophies with Tottenham and Arsenal in addition to being named the Players' Player of the Year [1976] and Football Writers' Player of the Year [1973]. GALLERY: Pictures as statue to Pat Jennings is unveiled in Newry

A large crowd turned up to see Pat Jennings unveil a statue in his honour in Newry City Centre this afternoon.

Friends and family were joined by his footballing colleagues, including Gerry Armstrong and Billy Hamilton, who played with Pat in the Northern Ireland team.

Ledley King was there to represent Tottenham Hotspur while ex-Arsenal and Ireland player Liam Brady made a surprise appearance.
