Newry City have found out who they will play in the last 16 of the League Cup.

City made it through to this stage of the competition with a 2-1 win over Harland and Wolff Welders at the Blanchflower Stadium on Tuesday night.

Jordan Mooney and Adam Salley found the net for the visitors, with Michael McLellan scoring the Welders' goal.

The draw for the last 16 took place at Windsor Park, with Gary Boyle's side being handed a trip to Carrick Rangers.

City will take confidence from their 2-0 win over Stuart King's side when the sides last met in August. Lorcan Forde and Darragh Owens found the net on that occasion.

The cup tie will be played on Tuesday, November 7.
