Warrenpoint woman ​Jessica nails it to win award!

​Jessica Dodds, owner of Jessie's Nail Bar in Warrenpoint and a brand ambassador for Cally Cosmetics was up for the award after she was voted for by her clients, friends, family and the public.

After she made it to the finals – which was a big achievement in itself - the next round saw Jessica having to travel to Blades and Beauty in Antrim were she had to do a full set of acrylic nails with a floral theme.

The judges marked the finals on the preparation of the of nails, cuticle work, the application of extensions and acrylic, the shaping of the nail and thesanitation of tools.

Competitors were given a brief of floral design which they had two hours to complete.

Jessica chose dried flowers with a touch of sparkling glitter.

The next step was to seat back and wait until the awards night which was held at the La Mon Hotel in Belfast.

Jessica was up against 10 other finalists from across Northern Ireland with the local woman coming out on top.

She was presented with her award by one of the sponsors , Michalina from Beauty Factory Nail Shop which is based in Newry.
